This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior to mid level Interior Designer. The Junior Interior Designer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks to support each of our design projects, which may include but are not limited to: daily communication and check ins with clients and contractors, creating and editing design decks for projects, generating quotes and invoices, interfacing with virtual assistants, making design selections, and other daily “no job too small” tasks here in our small design office in the U St corridor of DC!

The role is located in Washington but offers flexibility for some remote work. We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of design experience, who is eager to join a small team with the goal of a long term partnership!

Qualifications

• Space Planning and Interior Design skills, and strong color and texture understanding

• Knowledge of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A STRONG sense of detail

• Proficiency in design software is not required but helpful

• Experience with the google suite is ideal but not required

• Ability to collaborate and also self-motivate and work independently

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture is helpful but not required

• Reliable car strongly preferred but will consider applicants with reliable commutes

• PLEASE, no one with zero experience, affinity for design, or inability to work independently. We are a busy office and whoever we hire will need to hit the ground running. This is not a full training opportunity. We wish you the best of luck in that search, though!
